Otis Conner was a Dallas-based composer, producer, director, and advertising visionary whose work helped shape the sound of modern audio branding.
A true pioneer in the industry, Otis earned numerous ADDY Awards and multiple prestigious CLIO Awards—often referred to as the Oscars of advertising. As founder of The Axcess Group, he transformed local advertising by creating an innovative library of music paired with customizable, market-specific lyrics. This groundbreaking approach enabled thousands of businesses across the country to deliver memorable, professionally branded campaigns with speed and consistency.
His influence extended far beyond local advertising. Otis produced and directed large-scale, music-driven branding campaigns for some of the world's most recognizable companies, including McDonald's, Sears, Procter & Gamble, JCPenney, Lipton, and Clairol. He also created iconic broadcast news music packages and corporate audio branding, including telephone hold messaging that reached millions of consumers.
Later in his career, Otis expanded his creative work into Hollywood, contributing music production to major motion pictures including Natural Born Killers (1994) and W. (2008). He went on to found BigO Concepts, a full-service creative agency dedicated to building brand awareness through original music, compelling storytelling, and innovative advertising.
